This documentary is a tribute to the His Late Majesty King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, as the greatest patron of Bhutanese music, song and dance in the 1960s. Interviews with many older musicians, singers and dancers lovingly recall His Majesty’s deep appreciation for Bhutanese music, and how His Majesty’s great patronage and vision resulted in the flourishing and growth of Bhutanese music in the 1960s. Under His Majesty’s patronage, all the best musicians, singers and dancers from around the country were brought together to perform full time, and serve in the court. His Majesty also initiated the first recordings of Bhutanese music and established the Royal Academy of Performing Arts, to the long-lasting benefit of all Bhutanese.

This film is based on the concept of Design for Change, a global movement which empowers children to “Be the change, they wish to see in the world.” Since 2010, Early Learning Centre, Thimphu, has been the Design for Change country partner and every more schools participate in this inspiring program of youth empowerment. One being Baptong PS in Lhuentse, Bhutan. This film presents our story of change through the four steps; FEEL, IMAGINE, DO and SHARE, encouraging every individual to take responsibility in solving their own problems. Narrated by a teacher (also the filmmaker,) it tells the story of a group of school children in remote Bhutan who come up with unique solutions.

This is a documentary about a person living with disability. It tells the story of Pema Tshering who not only survived his disability but has made amazing and impossible achievements. His hands are absolutely numb while his feet are weak and can hardly carry his own weight. Abandoned by his parents as a child, he has overcome insurmountable challenges. And when he had a dream, he determinedly pursued it until the dream found him. Today, he is a foot carver of beautiful wood carvings. And now he has a new dream.

In this docudrama, a recovering drug user and HIV patient narrates his regrettable life experiences and choices, while scenes from his story are re-enacted and woven into his narrative.
